Blues/Oilers Trade

[Jonathan]

:EDM:

Jan Hejda, $1.7m (2014-2017)

For:

:STL-NHL:

D - Esa Lindell (2012: 3/74 - 0 Games)

This is a cap dump for Oilers. Hedja is a solid depth guy, who has 50 points. He is also about to be 37. Ironically, I orginally drafted Lindell when I was gm of Blues.

Slim pickings out there for available D. Going to use Hejda for the rest of the season then buy him out. Thanks for the deal.

:iatp:  Good for Blues. Might be good for Oil in a few.

:iatp: Good pickup by StLouis. A good D with a very reasonable cap hit.

:iatp: Blues win now. Oilers win when Lindell cracks an NHL lineup. Good spec.
