Ottawa and Colorado Announce a Trade

[dickiedunn]

Ottawa management are pleased to announce they have come to an agreement with the Colorado Avalanche on a 3-player trade.

To Colorado
Colin Greening, $2.0m (2015-2016)
C - Vladislav Namestnikov (2011: 1/27 - 4 Games)

Coming to Ottawa
Carl Hagelin, $3.7m (2014-2017)

Senators agreed to this trade despite wanting to retain top prospect Namestnikov but felt it was prudent to add an established skilled Left Wing before the Play-offs.

Simple negotiations with Colorado. Thanks. SlackJack to confirm.

The rebuild in Colorado will be as quick as it is complete. We are committed to our vision for future success and in Vladislav Namestnikov we have added another building block for our new foundation.

Thankyou to DD for the assist!

:iatp: sens win now and avs win nextvyr when Namestnikov gets fulltime status and Greening gets a new coach to play for. Hageln is still young with some possible upside.

Namestnikov is awesome. Greening is a wait and see guy. Hagelin is a bit overpriced. :iatp:

:iatp: Smart move for both gents.

Normally this sits and stews at least 24 but it's trade deadline time so we're going to put this through on Fantrax so teams know where they stand.

Fantraxed for both teams. :judge:
