:TBL: sends
D - Cody Franson, $2.7m (2012-2015)
G - Oscar Dansk (2012: 2/31 - 0 Games)
G - Merrick Madsen (2103: 6/162 - 0 Games)

:NYI: sends
RW Valeri Nichushkin, $2.0m (2013-2016-EL)

Maybe it becomes clearer with 3 trades now posted on the board, how the three tie into a larger scheme. Maybe it doesnt? In any case as a stand alone trade this is a hefty haul for Nichushkin, but my view is that we are super deep on the blue line, and young NHL RW talent on a good deal is a scarce commodity.

With Campbell we feel we keep the best of our young Goalie crop  and Franson is due a nice pay raise, all in all we need this trade and the others to go thru and ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED to add Forsberg, Nichushkin, to our talented and suddenly young :TBL:

Thanks for the talks Johnny B Good :toast:

Thanks for the long and outspoken talks mate!  :toast:

After seeing the activity and overpaying in FA, I was obliged to look for quality defenseman from trade market. Franson is super, like him a lot. Next salary is surely high, but don't have time to mourn it now.

I may hit myself to head if cap-effective young Russian makes a breakthrough alongside Benn and Seaguin. But hey, that's a risk I must take. Luckily I still possess plenty of depth on wings.

Over and out.

I give the Edge to :NYI: for adding a good Defenseman on a cap friendly deal along with a great prospect Goalie in Dansk.

Both get great pieces. Franson is a great young d-man but Val could get top line minutes in Dallas that could be huge.

There are few Russki prospects I trust will develop into full fledged studs. Valeri aint in that small group. He reminds me of the Kostitsyn bros and that 2nd coming of Vlad Krutov who jumped back to the KHL there Alex Radulov. Enough of my mini rant. Good move for :NYI:.

Busy Busy Daddy!
Great trade for both teams. I call this deal Even at this point in time. But expect the Isles to come out on top in the future with those goalie prospects.
