Giants release SP Zito, Barry, $2m (2016)

Salary cap obligations: 90%, 60%, 30%
2014 - $2.0 x .9 = $1.8 -- 2014 Cap = $2.0m
2015 - $2.0 x .6 = $1.2 -- 2015 Cap = $1.0m
2016 - $2.0 x .3 = $0.6 -- 2016 Cap = $0.5m

After the rosters are updated, I will re-visit this transaction to initiate a contract buyout if I have enough available funds.

My contract buyout figure would be: $4.0m ($3.5 x 1.1 = $3.85)
