Yanks and Nats swap again

[bravesfan4]

The Yankees make what should be the final move heading into RFA and free agency

Yankees send

CI Headley, Chase, $0.5m (P-2011)
P Veal, Donald, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Nationals Send

OF Byrd, Marlon, $5m (2012)
CI Davidson, Matt, $0.5m (P-n/a)
C Cervelli, Francisco, $0.5m (P-2013)

The Yanks complete this deal. Byrd is a good addition to our OF. Davidson adds a good hitting spec to our farm. Cervelli altho prolly wont play much at least gives us a back up catcher.

Thanks for the easy negotiations. Thanks Nats.

Despite what a majority of people think, Veal is not the centerpiece of my return, but a guy named Headley.

The Nats continue to gain cap space for future purposes, and try and add young pieces with good future outlook.

As always, a pleasure Mr. Steinbrenner.

I know, Veal really gets me going. I thought he was a hitter when me and Corey were talking. He and Cervelli we essentially swapped.

There was a time...back in the aughts, when the real life Cubs would not trade him for anything.
