:NYM: do this deal because we have a lot of C depth.  We've been wanting to turn Salvador's great contract into something where we have another team need.  Getting excellent contracts back from premier players like Mike Minor and Freddie Freeman will go a long way to filling some gaping holes in the roster I've taken over.  We're willing to move some highly touted prospects that we aren't as high on as well as free up some cap room for future PC contracts.
Thanks :ATL: for the fair back and forths while working on this!

:ATL: confirm.

Sure I give up my best player Freddie Freeman but get fair value for him. As a replacement for him in the future we get Dominic Smith which I hope will be an ace at 1B. Salvador Perez will be our new franchise catcher.. Also boosted my pitching prospects with Reed and Syndergaard, Noah especially. Carlos Quentin is a risk, but if he can stay healthy he will be able to do a job here, great upside.

An essential move for me as I am trying to put my own mark on this franchise going forward, a rebuild in process.

Thanks :NYM: for fair-minded discussions.

I assume y'all mean 2014 picks as that is the draft after this upcoming season.

I threw in the picks, but I meant 2015 not the upcoming. If that's alright with Mets owner.

[haseloff]

Snygg is right, this is for the 2015/2016 draft.
