St. Louis and Kansas City Trade

[kungfuwig]

Kansas City Receives

OF Lagares, Juan, $0.5m (2014)
SP Pettibone, Jonathan, $0.5m (P-2016)

St. Louis Receives

OF Ethier, Andre, $9m (2015)

The Royals do this to clear some cap space from a position where they have depth in order to fill other needs. With the money gained we can target some players in FA and get back in return two possible starting players for the 2014 season on lesser contracts. Paul to confirm.

Cardinals confirm.  We make his trade in hopes that the Dodgers trade Ethier or Kemp.  With the free agent bidding so far we decided to go in another direction.
