The :NAS: and :BOS-NHL: owners have agreed on this trade:NAS: tradesRW Patric Hornqvist, $6.1m (2013-2014)D Seth Jones, $3.0m (2013-2016-EL)Round 3 - 2014 (from :STL-NHL:):BOS-NHL: tradesD Mike Green, $3.9m (2012-2015) C Joe Colborne, $2.0m (2014-2015-EL)C Gustav Nyquist, $0.2m (2014-2015-EL)D - Joshua MorrisseyRound 2 - 2014 :BOS-NHL::NAS: does this trade to help with their rebuilding process. We hate to see Jones go since he will probably be a stud one day but we feel the players we are getting back will more than make up for losing Jones in the long run. Hornqvist is a pricey winger in the last year of their current contract and just isn't in our future plans.Green is still a stud d-man but probably no where near where he was prior to all his injuried seasons. Both forwards are young skilled with a lot of potential players. Morrisey is a young d-man that also is very skilled with a lot of potential. The 2nd rounder just helps us fill out our minor league list.Jackdaniels to confirm trade.Hopefully it works out for both teams in the short term as well as long term.
:iatp::NAS: gets a health package again that includes Colborne the 1st Round 16th overall pick in 2008, Morrissey the 1st Round 13th pick in 2013, Nyqvist from the Wings system, an All-Star Defenseman in Mike Green and a higher Draft pick. Win to :NAS: even if they are giving up a 1st Round 4th overall pick in Jones and a good forward in Hornqvist who might have a less expensive extension coming his way. That's two very good trades back to back by e40 getting great pieces that will help his team now and down the road.
