Indians & Brewers agree

[clidwin]

MI Cabrera, Asdrubal, $0.5m (P-2011)
CI Laporta, Matt, $0.5m (P-n/a)

FOR

P Gallardo, Yovani, $0.5m (2010)

Big trade for the Indians. Looking for some youth in my pitching staff, Yovani is a great fit. I gave up some good talent to get this done, but with Votto holding my CI position and Escobar holding my MI position! Im happy to add a ace like Gallardo!!

In the process Gallardo, Yovani will sign a 36 million dollar deal. (P Gallardo, Yovani, $12m (2013)

Brewers approve.  We're sad to see Yovani go and wish him luck.

However, I believe the Indians get a steal here.

Approved, I like both sides, still believe in LaPorta.

Note that LaPorta surpassed the 50 game mark in 2009, and should have had his clock start last season - he should be on a (P-2012) contract.
