Rob sent me a PM and asked me to be the tie-breaking vote. I have read thru this thread and the opinions of those on the TC a couple of times over the last couple days and looked at both sides. There seems to be an agreement that this trade is a massive overpayment for a goalie. I see this trade as being potentially detrimental to the league and cast my vote as a veto. The overpayment of the last two 1-1 picks is too much in my eyes for Hiller.

I see where you guys are coming from but completely ignoring the other parts of my side that are going hockeyfreaks way. Downie was injured this year but in the previous year he was one of my top RW players and two good first round defensive prospects. I know that Nuge and Yak for Hiller isn't completely fair but there are other pieces that aren't being considered as I would see Bieska for Downie, Beauliea, and Gormley as much more of an over payment. It is also about market as Rob stated, just like when I traded for Price without giving up a goalie in return I had to pay big time.

But the TC has spoken and I believe unjustly as not the whole of the trade is being evaluated but only a piece but we will work it out again.

Drew, I understand what you are saying, and I took those guys into consideration.  I had a couple of reasons.  I'll spell them out for you, just so you get my understanding at least.  You don't have to agree with it, but you can get an idea of where i'm coming from.

1. Yak and RNH are both younger than Hiller or Downie.  Age is a big consideration for me.
2. Fasth has caught Hiller a bit for the #1 job. Hiller had a lot more value at the beginning of the year.  I consider Hiller in the 20-25 fantasy goalie right now. 
3. I respect the Dmen specs, but the league is so deep in dmen. I signed Muzzin and Methot this year for .2m and no one even looked at those signings.  Sure they aren't great specs, but young serviceable specs with good potential.

I understand your frustration with the deal, but I just couldn't pass it.

I do understand but from the vetoes I have seen most say Yak and RNH is too much for a goalie where the other parts of the trade are not even considered.

As I said we will try and re-work out this trade.
