Can be a variety of ways to post it. I like the proposal. In all honesty I doubt a restriction will need to be place on contract value that this discount can be applied to. Most owners will optimize their savings by applying it to their most expensive player especially if the team is only allowed to designate the players once per year.
I'm putting an idea out there. PR said he brought it up a while back but I am dusting it off and making it easy to understand.I suggest we allow for a home town discount of say 25% off on 2 players per team if they meet these 3 simple criteria:1) Drafted by the FNHL (worked their way up the system or drafted-traded-resigned via trade or FA)2) Actually play for the same team in the NHL as they do in FNHL3) Contract value is over $4.0 million (could be $3m)
