This league is meant to be a farm system for Backyard NHL so that it continues to get the best GMs around. This doesn't mean that you have to want to get into Backyard as if you love this concept you can stay here as long as you wish.
This league will be a
non-contract keeper league with an initial live draft. The league rules will emulate those in Backyard so GMs have a good understanding of Backyard's rules before entering. Rosters are the same as Backyard with a maximum of 25 active players and running 3 centers, 3 left wings, 3 right wings, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies daily.
League will be scored on fantrax and be head-to-head points.
There will be 18 teams and 3 divisions. Playoffs will the final 4 weeks of the season (starting in 2014-15) featuring the top 8 teams in the league.
This league is not open to current Backyard members. Also if a GM is called up from this league to Backyard, they will vacate their GM job here creating an opening. The commissioner will not have a team here due to these restrictions.http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=2586.0
