Don't scare too many people now Philly though.
Philadelphia sends:Roman Cervenka, $0.2m (2014-15)Marcus Foligno, $0.2m (2012-13)Vinny Prospal, $1.3m (2012-13)Michal Neuvirth, $1.2m (2012-13)Jose Theodore, $4.0m (2013-14)Darcy Kuemper, $4.9m (2012-13) $0.5m, (2014-15)Matt Hackett, N/C (11 games)Alex Chiasson, N/C (0 games)Philadelphia's 2ndMinnesota sends:Alex Tanguay, $3.5m (2013-14)Corey Crawford, $3.6m (2014-15)*Jean-Sebastien Giguere, $3.0m (2012-13)Mitch Wahl, N/C (0 games)Duncan Siemans, N/C (0 games)Minnesota's 5thThis deal is pending on Darcy Kuemper being completely resigned for the next two seasons. And what a deal!In this deal, I obtain one of the three best goalies in the game in Corey Crawford. In order to obtain him, I had to move 4 goalies! One of them is an aging vet and he is most likely done as a starter. Neuvirth is young, but he is not getting the quality starts that he did a couple seasons ago. He will rebound, but the Flyers cannot wait for that to happen. And then there is the prized possession of my system - my Minnesota goalies! I knew any deal involving Crawford would have to involve these two, as this will give Norrya66 the best chance to obtain a starter within the next couple of seasons. But I did say I wanted two pieces in a deal involving Neuvirth, so that is where Tanguay comes in. Tanguay is a strict upgrade on Cervenka, Foligno, and Prospal, which is why I had no problem handing Minnesota my depth. On top of that, there are still some solid trade and FA options available.Wahl and Giguere were included to help make the numbers work in the AHL.The pick swap was offered on my behalf to help seal the deal, and the prospect swap (Chiasson and Siemans) was offered on Norrya66's side, and I gladly accepted. We here in Flyerland have no problem waiting for Siemans to make his impact in the league.Norrya66, it was great working with you on this deal! I am glad we got it done, and now, I feel that I am ready to bring the cup to Broad Street!
