Minor Trade Between Toronto & Dallas

The Leafs & Stars have agreed to terms on the following trade:

Maple Leafs Sends:
2nd Round Pick
3rd Round Pick

Dallas Sends:
Calvin Pickard, $0.2m (2013-14)

I have a really good feeling the Pickard is going to be a starting goalie in the NHL in a couple of years. I think a 2nd and a 3rd is a great price to pay for this guy... it'll take a while to see the fruits of this trade, but I think it's going to pay off big time.

Pickard was drafted in the 2nd round in 2010 and has developed beautifully in the CHL. The team around him sucks, but he still posted a .918 save percentage, and despite a record of 27-41, he was named a backup in the All-Star game.

like SizzRat said Calvin Pickard is a great prospect goalie that will start his development stage at the AHL level this season and he could develop into a starting goaltender in the NHL in 2-3 years .           

for me getting the 2nd and 3rd round of was a fair deal
