1.
- St. Louis remains atop my rankings. Well rounded team that will set the pace in Backyard. Crazy thing is that Rask isn't playing like his regular self, if that continues St. Louis may not stay on top long.
2.
- WHAT!! My guess this is the highest Calgary has ever been ranked! They have two goalies who are on fire and a backup who is challenging the starter. Can the Flames maintain?
3.
- Again WHAT!!! Vancouver's team is playing out of their mind. Forwards are firing and goalies are maintaining their status quo! Pacific division may have 2 new heads?
4.
- Again Walt has assembled a well round competitive team that is near the top of the rankings. The Flyers star in Perry hasn't begun to click yet but it will only be in time.
5.
- Ranked 2nd overall in fantasy points with 50 of those coming from Carey Price. Parise isn't playing too bad either. Only reason they are this low is due to the fact that I don't know how long Price will carry this team.
6.
- Weird to see Tony down this low in the rankings but took out a formidable foe in Tyler in the first week in a close matchup. If there is one thing we have learned is that never count Tony out.
7.
- Needs the goalies as usual!!! Miller is playing great but the Lack/Ward combination isn't clicking yet. Forwards are ready and going but the goalies need to catch up for my Oilers to rise up the rankings.
8.
- 3 big teams from the past haven't had strong starts and Anaheim is one of those that needs their youth infusion to get going. The Bernier/Quick combination has let them down so far but again never count out Tyler.
9.
- Solid team thoughout the lineup that izaman is putting his own flavor on. But the big question is where is Crosby?
10.
- Tons of points scored for the Rangers but came out with a loss against our number 1 spot. Has this team turned a corner, I believe they have. My pick for underdog of the year here!
11.
- Got the win in the first week but may be a year away from competing day in and day out. But if Martin Jones continues to play the way he has then Washington could arrive earlier than we thought.
12.
- Halak is back and should make the Bruins stronger. Should provide strong competition throughout the year!
13.
- Has gotten out of the Gilly ages and now is constructed as Martin sees but just waiting to turn that corner.
14.
- I say this every year. Pittsburgh should be stronger than how they perform but problem this year is goalie starts.
15.
- Again Toronto should be better but Bob has played like junk. This team will find their groove but the question is when.
16.
- Has Winnipeg's starts in net but needs to field a full lineup to make an impact in Backyard.
17.
- Their only starter got injured 1 game into the year and LA is still a team on the rebuild but how about that McDavid kid so far?
18.
- No goalies has really hurt Tampa. High salaries are performing but have hurt the depth of the team.
