This was really tough for me, but my biggest need is RW and Minor cap space, with this deal i get a good RW and clear to some Cap space to move some other guys around.

Very hard to move Dougie, especially within the division but this move made sense on both avenues.

***NOTE*** When this deal is completed, to make up for the Major Cap space I will assign Jonathan Huberdeau to the Minors as that will create the correct amt of roster space and cap.

Cheers Tyler! I'm just super happy to find common ground with such a savvy hockey mind.

I never planned to move Iginla but with two RW's from Boston on my bench I've been forced to sit Reilly Smith most nights (often to my chagrin). Bringing in Gaborik forces the issue. I think netting Hamilton and the 2nd is a great return....the rest of the pieces are shuffled to give $1.1m in cap space to make the deal work.
