Great to see new owners building their franchises the way they want. EK is a good choice to build around.
I thought so myself. Great minds.

PPG ADDS TRADE ICON
I prefer not to jump the queue so I'll leave this trade here and the Commissioners can process once the Freeze period draws to an end.
Submitted for review to the Trade Committee is a deal between Calgary and Buffalo: To Calgary Flames: Evgeny Kuznetsov, $7.1m (2016-2020) Keith Kinkaid, $3.3m (2014-2017)
FOR
To Buffalo Sabres: Henrik Sedin, $5.5m (2013-2017) Alex Goligoski, $5.5m (2014-2018) C - Jonathan Dahlen (2016: 2/42 - 0 Games) D - Duncan Siemens (2011: 1/11 - 1 Games) G - Dylan Wells (2016: 5/123 - 0 Games)
The salary involved is similar. Calgary looks to gets younger and add a goalie that has a good skillset. Kuznetsov is our type of player to build the franchise around. Sedin (nearing retirement), Goligoski (older defender on a weaker team) and the 3 youngsters were not that steep of a price (Wells was the darkhorse we wanted to keep but we are getting a goalie in return).
Thanks for the Holiday trade negotiations BurkesBoys.

I also believe this is a great idea.
I voted for 2 Supplemental Draft Picks annually as a starting point for this type of Draft. My reason being starting with 2 Supplemental Draft Picks provides a relevant sample size of the impact of this type of draft for future reference while making it interesting enough for immediate use relative to time spent on researching prospects available.
Hope you're all enjoying the Holidays.

A little update here.
I traded Spurgeon, Holder, Hjalmarsson, Hickey, Moulson, Lyubimov, Cousins, and Brian Boyle in the past month or so.
I added no currently productive players back and only got Eichel back from injury.
I'm still scoring similar to what I had before, but the team isn't making any real push this year. Actually, this helped me fix my cap, as a I now stand almost 8M in the green versus up against cap.
I don't even have enough D to fill my current team. Somehow, that is 2nd place in the Pacific Team has studs but lacks G and now depth with all those moves. I think this team can hang around .500 and might sneak in. No real chance this year, obviously...... but encouraging going forward and #1 offseason priority is to sign Eichel long term
Great post and overview of the work in progress Jonathan. The forwards on the Edmonton roster are an enviable collection of future Hall of Famers at the start of their careers.

In Calgary the building of a champion will be an interesting road. The roster is a polarized mix of veterans and youth. I have looked at the direction of the previous administration and though I understand what they were trying to accomplish, I feel the strategy and execution would've taken longer than my plan for the franchise.

It would appear everyone has the ability to post a poll Jack Daniels.
