Franchise NHL / Re: Franchise NHL Trade Discussions« on: July 12, 2019, 03:09:15 PM »
The Pens have the Leafs AHL starter Kasimir Kaskisuo, $1.4m (2017-2019) available for a 4th. He can be extended at the $1.0m minimum.
We also have C and D depth ... would look to upgrade at the wing. We can take on salary. 145

Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL Skater Extensions likely to go north in 2020-21« on: July 08, 2019, 01:29:12 PM »With the increase in NHL player salaries, FNHL will revisit the Skater extension values to ensure our fantasy values are in-line (and not totally screwed up). 100% The best Fantasy Hockey League will just keep getting better. 147

The Pens will keep and extend Tom Kuhnhackl, $0.2m (2017-2019) --> Tom Kuhnhackl, $0.6m (2019-2021)
Highest rank over the past two seasons was 180 in 2017-18, so for the league minimum Thanks! 148
Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: BUF and SJ confirm trade« on: April 30, 2019, 04:56:20 PM »I like this trade for SJ. Yes, they gave up futures, but even on a mediocre Canadiens team, Price should continue to be a top 5-10 FHNL'er for a few years. I can't remember how far out of the top 3 in the Pacific they finished last year, but this should ruffle a few feathers out west. 149

Franchise NHL / Re: DISCUSSION: Blocked Shot Stat?« on: April 19, 2019, 11:04:25 AM »haha, I also think about that often. I like to occasionally have some grinders on my squad. I had Matt Martin for years and when officials would record hits properly, it would be great, but sometimes you get nothing. Home town official scorers can be funny. For example, Ovechkin will get credited for 10 hits in a game against Pittsburgh if the game is in Washington. If the same game is played in Pittsburgh, he will get credited with 1. The truth is somewhere in the middle. That's just an example. Not picking on the Caps or Pens ... all teams do that. I also think it is funny when home town official scorers try to sneak in a second assist for their guy on a goal. Or not credit an assist to an opposing player. Another example, whenever the Penguins score a goal in Detroit, the official scorer will call it unassisted if at all possible. I think it is so the announcer doesn't have to say the words "... assisted by Sidney Crosby" and depress the crowd. But assists usually get changed correctly by the NHL after the game. Hits do not. |
