X = clinched playoff berth
The Tie breaker is most fantasy points scored.

1    Chicago Blackhawks  - x -  14-5-0

2    Anaheim Ducks - X - 13-6-0

3    Dallas Stars - X 13-6-0

4    Colorado Avalanche -  12-7-0  LA sitting in 11th, unlikely to happen with the ftps being the tie breaker

5    Carolina Hurricanes    - 12-7-0 same senario as Colorado

6    Vancouver Canucks  - 12-7-0 -- Both Vancouver and San Jose could be in danger if LA wins the next 2 weeks and they lose.

7    San Jose Sharks - 12-7-0 -

8    Detroit Red Wings 11-8-0 - Possible spoilers LA, Edmonton and Toronto.  There biggest threat is LA

9    St. Louis Blues - 11-8-0 - Possible spoilers LA, Edmonton and Toronto. There biggest threat is LA

10    Boston Bruins    10-9-0 -- danger Mr. Robertson, Danger!  currently tied for the 10th spot with LA but has the lead in FT PTS

11    Los Angeles Kings    10-9-0 tied for 10th but would lose the tie breaker

12    Edmonton Oilers    9-10-0  -- They need to win their next 2 to have a real shot.

13    Toronto Maple Leafs - 9-10-0 -- They need to win their next 2 to have a real shot.

14    Washington Capitals - 8-11-0 -- Still in mathematically but it would take a miracle on ice because of the tie breaker.

15    Pittsburgh Penguins -- out

16    Buffalo Sabres -- out

17    Philadelphia Flyers -- out

18    Montreal Canadiens -- Out

19    Tampa Bay Lightning -- out

20    Calgary Flames -- out , better luck next year.

Dynasty NHL: Archive / A thought for the upcoming season
« on: February 10, 2012, 10:17:50 AM »
What would people think if we were allowed to send one players to the minors that weren't necessarily a minor leaguer.   Similar how a team in the NHL and send a player with a one contract to the AHL.

The player would have to clear waivers to be placed in the minors (if claimed the claiming team would assume 50% of their contract. ) (if unclaimed they are placed in the minors and you see a 50% reduction in cap hit) and if recalled would need to pass through waivers again.

This is similar to the NHL's waiver and claiming system.  It would be a fun concept since there are advantages and disadvantages to placing them in the minors.  As an advantage you have a way of getting cap relief without actually completely dropping the player.  As a Disadvantage you are taking the risk of someone claiming them, especially in a recall situation which most likely would be happening when they are playing better and you are risking losing the player with no compensation.

Just as an example from my own team Cammallari.  Playing like crap.  I really dont want to give up on him but also really dont like his 6 million salary for the next 3 years.  I would love to have a way to possible stow him away should he start playing like he should. but then I would be taking a big risk on recalling him since more than likely someone would claim him and still be stuck with his 3 million.

  • Daddy: This 2024 NFL Draft class is better than 90% of every draft ive witnessed since 1980. In NFL LIVE if you arent a top ten team, i strongly urge that you invest in 2024 draft.

  • Daddy: Traded all your picks? So what
    Yesterday at 02:57:32 PM
  • Daddy: Look at the Rams. Look how young my team is. I hardly ever draft. There is more than one way to invest in young talent. The easiest way is the draft but its not the only way.

  • Daddy: Just know, if you miss time at any point of the year, not just the active season. You have missed a lot. You've probably fallen behind your competition. Ten-Fifteen guys in all three of those leagues dont ever miss any opportunities.
  • Daddy: One more thing. The NFL LIVE waiting list is longer than you see on profsl or fantrax. There are people that know people that want in that league. No pressure on anyone but i cant just hold your franchise while you draft and do nothing else.
  • Daddy: i built College football for you guys that do that. Great scoring system, no trades, set your lineup and go getm! NFL moves too fast for that mentality. Apologies.
