Since a previous trade was amended to exclude a piece that was then moved in two additional trades, including the previous Nets/Clippers trade the following amended deal was agreed upon.

Jared Butler $0.5m (2024)
New York Knicks 2nd Round Draft Pick in 2023
San Antonio Spurs 2nd Round Draft Pick in 2023

I also know this violates the rule of waiting until a trade has been processed before trading an asset (New York Knicks 2nd Round Pick in 2023); however the original deal was agreed upon before the rule was put into affect and I know Billy wants this domino affect mess of three invalid trades cleaned up as quickly as possible. This is the last of the three dominoes.

Clippers make this trade as we think Butler has the highest upside of all the assets and 2nd round picks are nice trade chips. Also, Holiday doesn't fit the rebuild, but is a nice bench piece on a contender.

Bradley Beal $30m (2023) ($4m previously paid in 2023)

New York Knicks trade:
Collin Sexton $15.6m (2026)

Knicks accept this trade as we need a SF and hopefully Beal gets his usual SF eligibily. We have the extra cap space this year to make this deal. If Beal plays great he will greatly help our team this year. If not the he will be cheap to extend. Thanks Lakers for the talks.

A rebuild wasn't really in the cards before as we didn't own our own draft pick next year. Now that we can get that draft pick back from the Lakers a full rebuild and a shot at Victor Wembanyama makes more sense. We have a few other good assets we can move for more picks in future years to do a proper rebuild.
