Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / Weekly Power Rankings for 2010« on: March 30, 2010, 12:38:40 PM »
These are the weekly power rankings of teams in Franchise GM, based solely on the talent the teams have at the major league level. I will be posting these almost on a weekly basis. You may feel free to comment below if you feel your ranking is unjust... maybe I missed the talent level on your team? Banter and debate is welcomed. The more information I readily have about your team, the better, so please update your depth charts or post one if you haven't done so already. If you don't have one posted, then post a new thread for your depth chart at the main board and one of the EC staff members will merge it into your team page.

Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / RC clarifies Entry Draft setup and date« on: March 26, 2010, 04:15:26 PM »
Entry Draft Timing
The annual entry draft starts on September 15th at 12:00 PM EST. Each GM will be given a maximum of eight hours to make their pick. Once you make your pick, the eight hour clock starts for the next GM. If you do not pick within that time frame then the following will happen. 1) If you had supplied the EC with a pre-rankings list, then the best available player from such a list will be taken. 2) Your pick is skipped... but you can come in at any time and make your pick as long as the player wasn't taken. 610
Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / No More Draft Pick Trading (2011) & Loss of RFA Compensation« on: March 24, 2010, 12:40:40 PM »
The RC has officially closed the books on weeks of conversation that led to the following rule changes. These changes tie much more closely with MLB and simply make this league better.
1) Draft picks are not allowed to be traded for the 2011 draft onward. 2) RFAs are to be classified as Type A, B, or a regular RFA. Type A FA (as dictated by MLB is a player in the top 20% of their position). Type B FA are the next 20%. Therefore, for Franchise GM, Type A FA are: Top 12 MI, CI Top 15 OF Top 30 SP Top 36 RP Type B FA are: 13th - 24th ranked MI, CI 16th - 30th ranked OF 31st - 60th ranked SP 37th - 72nd ranked RP 3) As long as you bid on your own RFA during the RFA bidding period, then you are eligible to extra compensation if you lose the player. 4) If the player was a Type A FA, then you will receive the winning team's 1st round pick and gain a supplemental pick (After 1st round, before 2nd). 5) If the player was a Type B FA, then you will receive a supplemental pick. 6) Order of supplemental picks is based solely on fantasy points scored in the previous season of each RFA lost. 7) If one team wins bids on multiple Type A FA, then the player with the most points is the one that has a team receive the 1st rounder. The other teams will receive two supplemental picks. |
