LA sends:
Matt Holliday $17m (2014), including Cash Exchange of $5m in 2013 and 2014
(Dodgers will pay $10.5M of his salary in 2013)
to KC for:
Moustakas, Mike, $0.5m (P-2014)
Williams, Mason, $0.5m (P-n/a)
Wisdom, Patrick, $0.5m (P-n/a)
In an effort to re-stock the pool,  the Dodgers are willing to take the chance that Mous will come around. He's only 24 and has shown signs of doing so in the past month or so.
In Williams and Wisdom we get two highly rated prospects in their respective teams farms. Both are a couple of years away but I like their chances

Edit: Changed Holiday's cash exchange from $12M to $10.5m to compensate for the salaries taken in from Moustakis, Williams and Wisdom.

With both A. Ogondo and J. Niese on the DL the Dodgers need SP just to keep up.  MI/CI Murphy is a backup but is tough to give up nonetheless; as is Head but  Samardzija is a Top 10 SP and will fit at the top of our rotation.
