I took over what was a second place team and hurt the team by messing with a winning formula. My bad and I've learned from my mistake. Unfortunately it took too long to right the ship and add players back to the organization that I had traded off in the fall.
Moving forward I do believe my Pens are 2-3 players away from being a force in this league once again. We are looking forward to the Summer when trading resumes and Free agency opens.
Pens get a 0.3 rebate this year on Oduya's 0.3m buyout after he was recently signed by Dallas. This means Oduya's buyout costs my Penguins $0 dollars! whoohoo!!!
I'm tired of Spaling's lack of anything. Granted he's trapped in Barry Trotz's system but still as an offensive player you have to show some production on a consistent basis. Who signed this putz to such a big contract? I'll take the blame for believing he could have a break through season but man this guy is doing nothing. Zilch!
Nick Spaling, $2.4m (2013-2014) will be bought-out at 66.66% of his salary over the remaining term of his contract. Call it early spring cleaning.
Here's another failed project that I have to admit won't ever be more than a decent player in real life but worthless in fantasy hockey. We cut ties to save on a roster spot as well.
