The Stars promote RW - Michael McCarron (2013: 1/25) to the big club on a EL contract for 2 years through 2018 at $1m AAV
To make room, the Stars buyout Milan Michalek, $0.5m (2016-2018) for $0.6m all this year.

The Pens buyout Matthew Carle, $1.6m (2015-2018) at 40% his remaining contract value given his recent retirement announcement.
Let's make it all this year, which I think comes out to $1.3m for 2017.

The Pens promote LW - Pontus Aberg (2012: 2/37) to the big club with a 2-year EL contract through 2018 with an AAV of $0.9m
To make room on the roster, the Pens will place Joffrey Lupul, $4.6m (2015-2018) on LTIR
