We are currently looking to fill out our rules and trade committees. Managers would have to reply in a timly manner and help solve manners in the league.
Trade Committee would be responisible for reviewing trades and posting approvals.
Rules Committee would be responisible for dicussing rules and providing insight into what would be best for the league.

I see one manager has 10 active bids right now and I don't think we really want the point of free agency to be whoever can get the most cap space and then dominate free agency. In other leagues they have a limit to the number of active trades, this way you can bid up every free agent and dominate. You can still win all the free agents but you would have to be quick to do it. The limit in my other league is 5 active bids. Thoughts?

Just a couple updates. I know lots of people tend to just check up on the transaction hub and bid on free agents but rules also need to be looked at as well from time to time to refresh yourself.

As this section of free agency commences please refresh yourself on these areas:

Free Agency Bidding:
Bidding remains open for 48 hours after the last successful bid, after which time the bidding will be closed. Any bids made after the 48 hour window will be disregarded. If you are persuing a free agent please make timely bids.

Contracts:
Except for any contract inherited in 2010, all contracts must be no longer than five years.  Also, for a given salary, all contacts (extension, FA) have term limits (max years contract can be per the salary) as provided below.

Maximum Years
<= $1.4m, 2 years
$1.5m - $5.4m, 3 years
$5.5m - $7.9m, 4 years
>=$8m, 5 years (the overall limit)

Draftees will be placed onto the MiLR, however, if they exceed the 40 GP limit, they must be given a rookie contract based upon draft position.  Draft position will be tracked under the team rosters.

These must follow the ranking system along with the above contract guidelines.
