Red Sox give:
Adrian Gonzalez
Jose Inglesias
Rangers give:
Yu Darvish
Andrelton Simmons

I'd like to welcome our two newest Red Sox in Darvish and Andrelton Simmons, pending commish approval. Darvish gives me a reason to be excited for 2014, as a front 3 of him, Buchholz, and Fernandez is arguably the best front 3 in Armchair. I hate to lose Gonzo, one of the best and most consistent 1B in baseball, plus Inglesias, whom I expect to be a big-league starter for a long time, but it frees up my payroll in order to take on Darvish. As for Simmons, I'm not expecting much due to his poor performance thus far at the big-league level, but anything he can do is a bonus.
Rangers will post soon.

How would I determine, out of the 107 catchers in the pool, where Jarrod Saltalamachhia ranks?

Royals Give:
Wil Myers
Red Sox Give:
Will Middlebrooks (team control until 2018)
Josh Reddick (team control until 2017)
Lance McCullers (top #50 prospect)
Miguel Gonzalez (team control until 2018)
3rd and 5th round picks

A good deal for both sides, potentially losing Ellsbury weakens my outfield with no help on the way from the farm, and getting Myers means I won't have to get into a bidding war for the likes of Shin-Soo Choo and can focus more readily on SP/Closer help. I hate to lose Middlebrooks, but you have to give something to get something, and to do this deal without losing my first rounder, Anthony Ranuado, or Jose Fernandez is the most I could hope for, so I thank the Royals for their flexibility. I feel McCullers has real potential at the big league level, but he is still years away. And as for Gonzalez, I'm dealing from depth there, despite his 4 years more under team control.

  • jmntl82: How did the other team finish?
  • Jwalkerjr88: It was dallas. I think he missed the playoffs that year. Then used the draft picks on the 2021 class. Every pick was the 32nd pick (dont remembee what the other 1st became)
  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.
  • Jwalkerjr88: The results of that draft class is here [link]
  • Jwalkerjr88: Every 32 overall pick dallas makes in each round came from that trade
    Today at 10:20:54 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: The 2024 and 2025 classes look much more promising than that one lol
    Today at 10:22:06 PM
  • BayAreaBallers: 2021 draft class was my worst class as a NFL Live gm. my 2022 and 2023 were better
    Today at 10:32:52 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: I think it was the worst for most of us. It was a bad class overall. The top was amazing tho
    Today at 10:42:05 PM
  • jimw: Etienne is amazing. He was near the top of that draft lol
