Giants and Braves have come to terms on the above posted trade.  The Giants pitching staff has been decimated by injuries (and under-performance).  The hope is that Tim Lincecum can have a reasonable amount of success in his new home in Anaheim.  Jered Weaver is on the decline, but with Cashner and Cain on the DL, and De La Rosa and Miley pitching terribly, maybe Weaver can find some magic and throw a few good games.  The Giants are giving up three prospects and two fringe players, but in order to stay competitive, some SP is needed.  Sometimes we have to gamble and that is basically what the Giants are doing in agreeing to this trade.

braves confirm, we add some depth to our OF specs and a couple expiring fringe guys by moving some veteran pitchers to continue rebuilding. I like stewart and engel hopefully one of them can turn into a consistent hitter
