If it is possible in Fantrax I believe it would be a good idea to end the fantasy season a week before the final week of the actual NBA season. So essentially start the playoffs a week earlier and have the championship the 2nd to last week of the NBA regular season instead of the last week of the actual NBA season. The last week of the actual NBA season gets kind of crazy with players resting, being shut down early, injuries, playing young players to get a look at them, all the 10-day contracts etc. I think it would be a good practice and will end up with playoff results that more closely match who the best and worst teams are in the playoffs.

Are we still in time to move the playoff start 1 week earlier for the reasons well explained in the quoted post?

I have a rule clarification question.

From the Rules:
The first sentence makes it sound like you cannot bid on a player you released for a period of 30 days as it seems to clearly state that, but the 2nd sentence makes it sound like you can, but if you win the bid you get the player for the contract they had when you released them. Can you clarify the above rule?

I'm only asking for clarification as San Antonio Spurs released Simone Fontecchio on October 19th and bid on him again today, less than a week later.

I need to reword that in the rules. Essentially yes you can still bid on a player you released within 30 days but if you win the player again, the original contract goes back in place (unless the new contract would be higher). This is done to prevent someone from cutting someone and getting them back at a discounted salary right away.

When is the deadline to comply with the roster size limit? Start of the regular season?

Yes, start of regular season. Anyone over will have an illegal lineup and not score stats until validated

Yes a player can be extend in the context of the trade if in final year of deal. And yes, a player can then have more paid on the player. The player's new contract value for payment will then be the 1 year plus how many years he is extended by.

Two questions:
- is it be possible to extend a player's contract contextually to a trade if the player is in the final year of his contract? If so, is the total contract value (to calculate the 25% max) the sum of current and extended contract? Taking Capela as an example, his existing contract is already 25% paid in 2023. If I extend his contract, can I cover more than current $4.2m in 2023 in a potential trade (obviously complying with the 25% rule of total contract)?
- when does the FA start?

That specific part of the rules was actually only for the beginning of the league to allow owners to drop a few contracts from their beginning of the league.

However, we do have a rule in place that allows a new manager of a team to drop 1 contract from their team with no cap hit (IE the Hayward release falls under this). I thought I had this listed in the rules but apparently I didn't so I will get it added for clarity. But yes, since you are new to the Raptors, you can drop a player from your roster.

Is it an old rule for original managers or available to new managers like myself?
I recall a recent transaction for G Hayward which I believe used this section. 
If it is possible, does it only apply to players on the originally inherited roster  or any players which may or may not have been traded for since?
