Carolina will miss his .25 points a game, his 50% effort on the ice and the way he almost hits somebody every game but we will manage with the draft pick. 

This guy isn't very popular among wings fans but he has the potential to turn it around. I'd rather have the draft pick and the salary off the books for next year than hope this guy suddenly starts caring.

I hope I'm wrong though. It's a worthwhile risk for Montreal.

Add Riley Sheahan (signed through 2018 1.5m) to the list of guys on the block. He is center and rw eligible.

The guy is off to a very slow start but he's been a capable point producer in the past and has a cheap contract. Would be interested in prospects, a draft pick or a roster player preferably on d but would consider anything.

It's a numbers game in Carolina. We have a lot of similar players and are looking to diversify the roster.

I'm sure once June comes around each nhl team will have a list of players ineligible for the expansion draft that don't need to be protected because they don't meet the two year pro requirement.
