  This is already the value of the contract + the years remaining.  Additionally, it would invalidate the trade as players cannot be traded within 60 days of an extension.

@dbreer23 Just to be clear.  There is no change to the value or years of the contract.  It should actually add value, because once this contract is over, he will be able to extend him at a discount.

Understood, but I want to make sure that the now-invalid extension does not jeopardize Greene's value as was set up for the trade.

IMO, the trade is more important than the extension, but that may not be true for @Braves155.

Braves agree to originally accepted deal and will extend Greene post-trade. The way I see it this adds value to the deal.
