Nestor Cortes SP NYY $3.5 2024
Leo Jimenez MI TOR prospect
Mike Baumann RP BAL P-2025

Braves trade:

Grayson Rodriguez SP BAL prospect
Braxton Garrett SP MIA P-2024
Gordon Graceffo SP STL prospect

This trade was tough to accept, given that Nestor was phenomenal last year and he's still on a very reasonable contract.  But the Braves' willingness to add in Garrett and Graceffo got me on board.  Since it's an intra-divisional trade I fear I will be haunted by Mr. Cortes for the next two years, or at least until Rodriguez figures things out at the big league level.  Good luck @Braves155 and thanks for the trade dialogue.

As a young rebuilding team this was a tough deal to pull the trigger on, but Cortes should be a nice start for the Braves rotation going forward and adding the upside of Leo Jimenez gives the team youth back for offense. Baumann might not be special, but he will fill an MLB roster spot for the Braves and free up one more spot for a prospect.
