Carolina IR Violation
« on: December 09, 2021, 07:55:26 PM »
Carolina has Kevin Hayes in IR on Fantrax. He is not on "IR" or "Out Indefinitely". He was called and active on Dec. 1st. He's played on Dec. 1,5 6 8. This is a violation of 48 hour call to take returning player off of IR.

C) Making Roster/Cap Space
When an IR player returns the GM must post that they want them to come off of IR and create the appropriate cap and roster space within 48 hours of player coming off IR. The appropriate measures can be seen in the above options. If cap or roster space is not made the penalties are as follows.
1st Offence - Lost of 1 IR spot for the current year

2nd Offence - Lost of all IR spots for the current year
3rd Offence - Lost of all IR spots for the current year and the next year
4th Offence - Lost of all IR spots for that GM for the duration of league

Today is the 9th, it has been 216 hours.

Jmtrops, you were on today till 12:37:50 today.
Anthony, you were on till 1:43:37 today.
I posted last night.

Jim, you actually posted within the "Backyard Transactions" board to re-bid on Garnet Hathaway, where the message was posted.
You are a commissioner. Anthony is a commissioner. You were both on but ignored this post of a repeat rule violator.
His violations have been ongoing for quite some time. Anthony, you quoted in a private thread, you don't believe he was tanking. Well now, tell me about a GM that for the last 4 yrs. has not set roster but 20%. Pretty obvious this year eh?
The activity this year highlights his neglect, like I've been telling the league for years. Is something going to be done about this? Do we need new commissioners willing to do the hard work? A wise former GM who I consider a friend, once said, "why should I dedicate my time to a league that doesn't follow or enforce the rules" I paraphrase. I've told the league for years, look up the transactions. Why is this gm in this league? Is he related to somebody? This makes no sense. GM's are relieved for less which makes this ridiculous.

Jim messaged me about it when you posted as rules are my territory so don't take it out on him. Since my commissioner abilities are coming into question, I'll be very candid about where I am. I took over as commissioner to save the league as it was dying right after Cliff was seemingly making up random rules and Ian went inactive. I think I've done a pretty good job steering the ship, but I don't have and never had time to be doing the day-to-day duties.

I would love if someone who does have time to be a better daily commissioner to step up and take over my role and I'd gladly relinquish my commissioner duties to you if you'd like to be the one to step up.

I called you and Jim out as to ignoring this post, this GM, and this thread in general. You taking over and helping has nothing to do with your commissioner abilities. It you and Jim's lack of action on a violation that is called into question.
You say you don't have time for day-to-day duties, the league shouldn't be punished as a whole. And by the way, this infraction is not a only a day-to-day problem, it is now 288 hours with no movement by GM or help/acknowledgement  from Jim or you in charge of rules. I believe this is over a week, and with this GM. what is your response to that? All I ask and that the league should expect is rules followed/enforced in a timely manner. Oh, I don't need any story about Cliff, Ian,...etc. We all know where the problems began. This is personal with you now, if your in charge of the rules, enforce them!

I know you are frustrated but it was not ignored. when I saw it I messaged anthony and these things dont have to be done right away. thing will not happen that cant be fixed after a few days. We do appreciate you taken the time to find these violations and I was actually thinking that would be a good roll for you in the league. with that said we are doing the best we can and like anthony said we took the commissioner positions to keep the league from dissolving so any help from you or others would be appreciated but patients is needed to.

  • Brent: And that's why I haven't traded Carr yet.  Someone doesn't have a QB or thinks they'll get one in FA/draft and might be left wanting.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.

  • Brent: Nope, 32-team contract league.

  • ldsjayhawk: @Alpha I do make trades.  I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool

  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).
  • Brent: I had Holliday in FGM before I stepped away.

  • Brent: I am glad I cut back on leagues, I was spread too thin.
  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen
    Today at 01:52:08 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning
    Today at 01:52:22 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: If you made a list of the most aggressive gms to have stepped foot in nfl live, you will notice the champions will be among them
    Today at 01:53:06 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: You arent gonna win every trade and you HAVE to have a plan. Ive made some horrible trades. I have every year
    Today at 01:53:50 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Today at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL
    Today at 02:10:04 PM

  • BayAreaBallers: on that u havat trade a bit here and there
    Today at 02:25:57 PM
  • BayAreaBallers: although my last draft class and fa class kinda lead me to a run so it can happen
    Today at 02:27:21 PM
  • Brent: Yeah, it does help to have a big draft class and available cap.
  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
  • Brent: postured
  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did
    Today at 03:13:02 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Today at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide
    Today at 03:14:39 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: *your
  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Today at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
