Dynasty NHL: Completed Transactions / Major trade - Chicago-Buffalo
« on: July 06, 2014, 10:32:49 AM »
:BUF-NHL: trades

LW/RW Thomas Vanek, $5.5m (2017-2018)
RW Zack Kassian, $0.9m (2015-2016)
RW Stefan Noesen, $m (P-n/a)

For :CHI-NHL:

LW Nick Foligno, $3.1m (2014-2015)
LW Bryan Bickell, $3.5m (2015-2016)
D Joshua Morrissey, $m (P-n/a)
RW Rickard Rakell, $m (P-n/a)
RW Brett Ritchie, $0.2m (P-n/a)
2nd :CHI-NHL: Round 2015.

Like my real NHL team :BUF-NHL: is in a rebuild mode. With this move and the previous one (Ekblad) :BUF-NHL: is rebuilding its minor roster in order to be a contendant in a few years

For that I have to give up one of my best FPTs producer but in exchange I receive 2 very good  RW prospects ( Rackell and Ritchie ) who should be in the NHL maybe next year, a top D-man prospect (Morrissey), another draft pick to increase my bank of 2015 picks or to be use as potential  picks to exchange, a good player (Foligno) and a super star :toast: (Bickell) who will not have a long live with :BUF-NHL:.

I am giving up Vanek (my main lost),  Noesen (who still have to prove that he is NHL caliber) and an average player (Kassian).

All these moves are part of a long term strategy to be completed later by other moves (Buy-out/Waiver/FA) to clean-up my roster.

It tooks us several PMs to arrive to this deal which satisfies both teams.

Thanks Anthony. Pls confirms

:BUF-NHL: accepts

It is sure that I am giving up a future star in Reinhart but Ekblad is not too bad as well. Both should play in the NHL and produce many FTPs in our league.

I have already a lot of young Centers and 2015 Draft should bring more for :BUF-NHL:  with 3 1st Round Picks. I always like to have good D and I think my future is bright with my D-Men roster with Ekblad, Krug, Rastolinen, Zadorov etc.

If I am lucky with the 3 draft picks I could end up also with at least one good player. They might be also used in future trades (note to other GMs).

Thanks Cally for this trade.

Dynasty NHL: Archive / Final number of Minor roster
« on: June 30, 2014, 01:39:01 PM »
Did we decide the final number of players we keep in Minor Roster (10, 12 or..)?

If it is 10 do we have to do the clean-up before we select our keepers from last NHL draft and supplemental draft start?

Dynasty NHL: Completed Transactions / Trade Buffalo - Florida
« on: May 25, 2014, 07:55:05 PM »
:BUF-NHL: trades

C Mark Scheifele, $0.2m (P-15/16)
:BUF-NHL: 2016 Round 2 Pick
:BUF-NHL: 2016 Round 3 Pick

for :FLO:

C Bo Horvat(p-n/a)
C Calle Jarnkrok, $0.2m (P-n/a)
C/LW Colin Wilson, $2.9m (2014-2015)
:FLO: 2014 Round 2, Pick 1

:BUF-NHL: does this trade to acquire two young players with a great future (Jarnkrok and Horvat), a decent young NHL player (Wilson) and a first 2014 2nd round pick which will probably be better than :BUF-NHL: 2nd 2016 draft pick. The NHL team (BUF) will have several picks in 2015 so it was not too difficult to give away :BUF-NHL: Supp 2nd and 3rd 2016. :BUF-NHL: is rebuilding with this trade his roster with young players with great future.

Mark Scheifele is already a star for Winnipeg but :BUF-NHL: expects the same thing from Jarnkrok and Horvat. :BUF-NHL: is very pleased with this trade.

We had a lot of back and forth PMs to finalize this deal. Thanks :FLO: for trading me 2 players of your bank of prospects (you have a LOT of them). Please confirm.

Depending of the offers LW/RW Thomas Vanek, $5.5m (2017-2018) might be available (must be good and include some prospects and NHL players)

I prefer to stay at 10. This allow more good prospects on FA but will cause some headache to GMs who are already at 10 (before the draft)

  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Yesterday at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
