« on: September 22, 2015, 03:56:22 PM »
Section A-MLB Rosters
Item AVII A-1.0 Roster Size
MLB roster shall consist of a maximum of 40 players.

Item AVII A-2.0- Roster Composition
There are no restrictions as to the composition of the roster however, a legal roster must be maintained in order to score points on Fantrax.

Item AVII A-3.0- 60 Day Injured List
There shall be a 2 player Injured List for players who are assigned to the 60 Day Injured List by their MLB teams.  Players will be designated as such on a team's ProFSL roster under the Cash Exchanges section of the roster. , Cap Hits, and Signing Bonuses)
  • Assigning a player to the injured list will allow a team to open up the roster spot for a during the time the original player is on the injured list.
  • Their contracts shall still be counted against the team Salary Cap
  • A post must be made prior to a player being moved to and removed from the 60 Day Injured List
  • They must be activated and removed from the 60 Day Injured List within 48 hours of reinstatement by their respective MLB team, the ProFSL GM of the that particular player, must open up a roster spot for him
  • If there is roster space, the player will be moved to the active roster.  However, if there is not, the GM must make room for the player by the end of the 48 hour reinstatement period.  If he does not, the player will be released to free agency.
  • The injured list is not available during the off season.  Players may not remain or be added to the injured list during this time.  A player must be reinstated by the deadline listed on the league calendar.  Players may again be added to the injured list during spring training, when their MLB team has officially added the player to the list.
Their contracts shall still be counted against the team Salary Cap, but their MLB roster spot will be opened up for the time they are not activated by their MLB teams (which in some cases may be longer than 60 days).  GMs shall post that a particular player is being moved to the 60 Day Injured List by posting an alert on the FGM Transactions Board. A list of the players on the Injured List shall be kept on the Transactions Board by the moderator Once they are activated and removed from the 60 Day Injured List by their respective MLB team, the ProFSL GM of the that particular player, must open up a roster spot for him to reinstated or drop him.  If an open roster spot is available, the player is simply reactivated.  This shall be done within 48 hours of his activation.  If the player is not reactivated within the 48 hour period, that player shall be released to the Free Agent pool by the moderator, with the player being listed on the ProFSL roster as Released under Contract.

**Note:  In MLB, the 60 day IL terminates at the end of the season and all players require a corresponding move to be reinstated to the 40 man roster or released.  As such, all players on the 60 day IL in FGM will be returned to the active roster.  If there is not a space, GMs will have until 48 hours from the end of the season to make a move to accomodate the player or the player will automatically be released in accordance with the above rule.**
