Will the extension dates be extended as our projected cap space is not yet updated? Just don't want to extend players until 100% sure what the space is for next year.

Thanks!

Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Power Rankings - Week 2
« on: October 24, 2015, 08:33:36 PM »
There now only remains 4 unbeaten teams, those being the usual suspects in Philly, St. Louis, Chicago and Edmonton. But how long will that last with the high level of competition we are seeing so far this year! We also only have 4 teams without a win thus far in Los Angeles, Boston, Montreal and Tampa Bay. So again the competition is tough with 14 teams already with a win in this young season.

1. :STL-NHL: (1) - Top scoring team among the undefeated teams. Even though the 4 undefeated teams are very close, St. Louis remains on top for the 3rd rankings in a row.

2. :CHI-NHL: (6) - You can't teach an old dog new tricks so therefore Tony just keeps winning.

3. :EDM: (7) - Sticking with the standings. It's being proved that offense will not be the problem in Edmonton but consistency will be key to their season.

4. :PHI-NHL: (4) - #4 of the undefeated teams. Not a great week but enough for the win. Is Howard done in Detroit? Good thing Philly also has Mzraek in case that happens to keep them up here.

5. :CLG: (2) - High powered team with great goaltending will be looking to get back in the win column this week.

6. :ANA: (8) - Scratched out a win this week against Boston to get their first win of the season. Goalies make this team good but they need to play the part.

7. :NYR: (10) - Another good week but this time a different result with the Rangers getting their first win. Some studs and great goaltending will make their a tough team to play.

8. :VAN: (3) - Followed up their high powered week with a dud of a week. Just didn't get the rounded effort but still believe they are another good team this year.

9. :CLS: (5) - Followed the same road as Vancouver by putting up a stinker. It was the Blue Jackets forwards that let them down this week but should be a good middle tier team this year.

10. :PIT-NHL: (14) - Got their first win this week but need one of their goalies to become a starter to get these wins more regularly.

11. :DET-NHL: (9) - Lost Ramo to the AHL but still have Hiller who isn't playing great and Andersen is doing the same! Could be a team of high highs and low lows this season.

12. :TOR-NHL: (15) - Got the win by putting up some solid points but need Bob to play well to even think about contending.

13. :DAL-NHL: (13) - Dallas's goalie tandem is working to keep the competitive but still barely scratched out the win against the rebuilding Kings so who knows.

14. :BOS-NHL: (12) - Wasn't a bad week by the Bruins but they are 0-2 now. I don't expect them to stay down long but continuing to draw the short straw in the matchups may not work out well for the Bruins.

15. :WAS-NHL: (11) - This is my light switch team this year which means they can easily turn off and on. Kuemper needs to somehow steal that starting job back and Jones needs to play well to keep the Caps competitive.

16. :MON-NHL: (16) - Picked up 2 defensmen in free agency to round out a full roster but needs more consistency to become a playoff quality team.

17. :LAK: (17) - Welcome to the McDavid show! LA has found their centerpiece but need more youthful pieces to break into the lineup both in net and out front to complete that rebuild.

18. :TBL: (18) - Again Tampa has fell due to their horrid goaltending situation and their minors aren't making it look any better. Tampa needs direction or may be destined to a live of mediocrity.

Exactly!

Wennberg is back from his concussion. Do you still want this transaction to be posted?

No. I want it cancelled. He had a miraculous recovery.

Thanks

  • Rhino7: @Daddy, thanks for what you said lol. It was the ultimate challenge to beat JWalkerjr88 last season, I wanted my path to go through him so it makes my title run that much better! I just wanted to get to the SB and figured at that point anything can happen and lucky for me, my boys had enough left to take out BAB. Live is the most challenging league I’m in and most fun, so thanks for what you all do to make it that way.

  • Rhino7: Appreciate it, your team is solid. I expect to see you make another run
    Yesterday at 10:46:37 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: You did well Rhino. I appreciate the battle. The loss didnt sting more because i was undefeated, i know fully that being undefeated in the reg season doesnt mean anything in the playoffs. When rhino and i played this past season, the better team won.

  • Jwalkerjr88: This next year im coming full force. So far my pattern is win a chip every other year. Lets keep the streak going!!

  • Daddy: Well.. if im undefeated heading into the NFC Title game & I lose. I may beat up my neighbor. I dont like that guy anyway.
  • Daddy: I hate losing. Especially when its the biggest moments. I hate my teams i root for to lose. I really hate for the teams i built myself to lose.
  • Jwalkerjr88: I dont like losing ever. But a loss is a loss. Im pissed either way
    Yesterday at 11:09:47 PM
  • Braves155: Are you also a perfectionist in your everyday life?
  • Daddy: Im not a perfectionist in my dynasty life. I make all kinds of bad trades and make all kinds of mistakes.
  • Jwalkerjr88: If i traded all my picks to a division rival in a rebuild and he beat me in the title game with Desmond ridder or lose undefeated. Its all a loss at the end of the day
    Yesterday at 11:11:08 PM
  • Daddy: Nobody is right all the time. Its the beauty of sports.

  • Daddy: It helps just to fill up your roster and sign good contracts. If you dont know crap but keep a full roster and manage finances, you will kick ass.
  • Daddy: I wasnt a genius signing Kuechel. I was just filling an empty spot. I got rewarded with the best pitcher in baseball for a few seasons.
  • Braves155: I love it when one of your Dynasty teams you've been rebuilding starts showing up and being competitive early in the season. Especially in baseball
    Yesterday at 11:19:42 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I'm decent at building, but I need to get better st winning.  I did win an offsite 32-team football league, it only took me 1.5 season to rebuild and win.
  • Daddy: Thats what you should be doing @Brent. LIVE sharpens those skills so you can go elsewhere and dominate unsuspecting leagues.
