Boston makes this trade to clear cap space to continue to be active in free agency. I am a fan of Laureano so letting him go was difficult, but he needed to go home to Cleveland. We're also getting young players that are under team control for awhile.

Boston makes this trade to open up cap space, but also are rolling the dice on Contreras, I like his ceiling as a mid rotation starter. It hurts to let Temarr go, but he is most likely to debut next season and Boston is looking for more immediate contributions.
