SG Mario Hezonja 0.5m 2021


Blazers trade:

SF Cedi Osman 5m 2021 (with 5m previously paid 2019)
SF Kenrich Williams 0.5m 2021

Love over Osman is an upgrade for me no question, though hard to really say if the extra cap I am taking on is worth it but taking a shot at Love being allstar this year if he stays healthy. I like Hezonja as a sneaky late bloomer and think he has a shot to breakout with Blazers.

hawks agree im going a different rout this yr and i dont feal like love will be a part of it. That being said i fliphim for osman and clear some cap as well. i can swallow osman contract more than love. Osman will be a big part of cavs team in future. I dont seee love being on cavs team by start of season. This trade saves me 7m this yr and even more the rest of his contract

I mean this definitely just looks like the Hawks paying the Blazers to take a pretty good player off their hands, but maybe I am being a bit optimistic regarding the fate of a former All-Star and NBA champion. That said, the Hawks do gain a bit of immediate cap relief to bolster for the future. I think the Blazers win this, but it's close enough for me to pass.
