Chicago White Sox History
2021:
2nd in AL Central (86-76)
The
finished above .500, but we?re a distant 2nd in the AL Central, finishing 19 games out of 1st. The
missed the playoffs for the first time in 5 years and the roster went through some changes. 2022 will be a challenging season for the
as they will look to re-tool and make it back to the post-season.
2020:
3rd in Central Division (48-12)
The
certainly lived up to their GMs name: They were LockednLoaded. With a strong rotation led by Trevor Bauer and Jacob DeGrom, and with Jackie Bradley, Jr having a career year, the
entered the playoffs as the #6 Seed. In a close matchup, the Pale Hose dispatched the #3 Seed
. Then in the 2nd Round, the Sox met up with their Windy City rivals, the
. They battled, but the Cubbies came out on top and ended what must be considered a very successful season for the
.
2019:
1st in AL Central (107-55)
The
won the Division by some forty games as it dominated the AL Central. The Pale Hose entered the playoffs with high hopes after their marvelous regular season, but that enthusiasm was quickly quelled by the eventual FGM Champions
. The
bats went into a downward spiral and the Sox were crushed in the ALDS.
2018:
1st in AL Central (120-42)
After winning the AL Central by 20 games, the
had the misfortune of playing:TB: in the ALDS.
, the eventual AL Champion, cruised to a 300 point victory over the
and eliminated them from post-season play.
2017:
2nd in AL Central (105-57)
2016:
World Series Runner-up, 2nd in AL Central (80-75)
Dan
2015:
4th in AL Central (34-56)
Dan
2014:
3rd in AL Central (65-76)
Dan Wood took over the
in the offseason. The
jumped up two notches in the standings with their increase of 17 in the win column. Adding Christian Yelich, Carlos Gomez, Jacob DeGrom, and Homer Bailey helped raise the team’s competitive level and its fortunes are improving.
2013:
5th in AL Central (48-93)
The bottom has really fallen out. Neglect and inactivity by their GM led the Sox to the bottom of the AL Central. Jose Reyes and Justin Masterson were bright spots, but overall, the
has two priorities: an engaged GM and an infusion of talent up and down the roster.
2012:
3rd in AL Central (87-73)
A new GM took over the after the start of the season. With a pitching corp anchored by Clayton Kershaw and Johnny Cueto, the Sox had an respectable season, but without a core group of everyday players to rely on, they missed the playoffs.
2011:
4th in AL Central (80-82)
Prior to the all-star break, Rick had moved on and the White Sox found a replacement. It was a sad moment felt by many in the league as he was a pillar member of both the league and ProFSL. The team then dropped in the standings as it went through a transition process in the front office. Prior to that, he had acquired plenty of young talent such as Pedro Alvarez and Mark Trumbo to set up the team for the future. The young team heads into 2012 with plenty of cap space.
2010:
3rd in AL Central (85-77)
The new GM, Rick Straus, made many trades in order to get the team into shape for the 2010 season. Along with farm additions such as Mike Minor and Matt Dominguez, newcomers included Nick Markakis, Brian Fuentes and Andre Ethier. Despite their strong record, the White Sox traded away Paul Konerko and Markakis in the middle of the season. The team had viable replacements and stayed in the middle of the AL Central race until the final weeks.
2009:
4th in AL Central (72-90)
The White Sox mirrored their real life counterparts except that the fantasy team did less to get better and lost more games (extrapolated record). This resulted in new management going into 2010.

@idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

Agreed. I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ. I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.

That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so. And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild. Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season. I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

Thank you. Yes, I agree. I do need to break one asset down to 3. I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers. Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that. I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
