A couple of notes about extensions...

I have updated the calculator for the final rankings for the season.  There is now no need to make adjustments to the for an out of date rank.

Shannon found an issue with the extensions spreadsheet regarding the years for an extension that was lower than the previous contract.  This has been corrected, but it brings up a good point.  There is a always a possibility for error as I am human. I have found them in the past too.  As the spreadsheet has not gone through a few updates, I would imagine it is generally correct, but I appreciate your patience when an error is found.  If you have any doubts, 2x check against the rules page for extensions, it is the standard.  The calculator is provided for convenience in calculation.

As I was updating the calculator today, I found an error with Fantrax.  They had two different figures for Mookie Betts, one overall and when filtering for OF, the other when filtering for MI.  I have submitted this to Fantrax asking for a correction, but there could be other errors. Hopefully, they will be corrected when they make this correction, but beware, if a player has two positions we probably need to 2x check the points provided by Fantrax to make sure they are not providing two different point totals.

I believe it is the defensive stat scoring that changes the value of the same player from one position to another.

I think the extensions I posted had contracts less than the previous year. I think Robles was at 2.5m and then a 500k extension but i can't confirm that on the spreadsheet.

Fantrax responded and noted that they have changed the way they post points and when filtering, they only use that position's, which explains the discrepancy.  FGM uses the overall point totals for the highest position, which is what it Fantrax has always used before.  Therefore, extension values may not return properly for multi position players.
