With the season winding down, and with one week to before the playoffs, I wanted to alert you to a few things:
1) The Trade Deadline is tomorrow, August 31st @ 11:59 pm ET. Both teams involved in a trade must have their confirmations posted by that time deadline to be valid.
2) I compiled a list of players with expiring 2020 contracts and a list of (P-2020) prospects. Although this shortened season has produced some peculiar Fantrax rankings, we, nonetheless, have to use the 2019 and 2020 rankings to compute our extensions.
3) Since we are having the playoffs extended to the last day of the MLB season, we will need to begin our offseason a little later.

1.) Unsigned Players Become FA
2.) Cap Hits Raised From 75/50/25 Percent to 90/60/30 Percent
3.) MLB contract extensions count toward 2021 and beyond
4.) Re-Sign Values for Contract Extensions Updated
4) Finally, the Blue Jays are a vacant team, and as in the past with the Nationals, Cubs, and Marlins, the Jays will be under league proprietorship. With that, the Braves GM has requested a team name transfer. This would require a transfer of name only. The Braves roster would become the Blue Jays roster and vice versa. Given the present standings, it would also mean the Braves would probably lose their 2021 FYPD rank, which right now is #1.
We have not done such a thing in the past, but given the situation, unless I hear some objections, I am inclined to make the transfer.
