St. Louis

We're heading into the 5th week of the season and I don't know where to start.
Slack posted on June 13:
Release
Victor Rask
Chandler Stephenson
James Van Riemsdyk
Alex Killorn
Ondrej Palat
Radko Gudas
Nick Leddy
Keith Yandle
Jaroslav Halak
Send to Minors
Nick Suzuki, $1.2m (2021-22)
Nicolas Hague, $0.6m (2021-22)
Ilya Samsonov, $1.0m (2021-22)
Call up
Will Butcher
Release
*Matt Luff, $0.7m (2020-21)
*Vinnie Hinostroza, $0.5m (2020-21)
*Brett Connolly, $1.2m (2020-21)
*Victor Mete, $0.5m (2020-21)
*MacKenzie Weegar, $0.9m (2020-21)
*Jordan Oesterle, $1.1m (2020-21)
*Brandon Carlo, $1.4m (2020-21)
*Laurent Brossoit, $0.8m (2020-21)
These players are still on St. Louis roster:
Alex Killorn
Ondrej Palat
Jaroslav Halak
These players were not removed and are being used presently.
Nicolas Hague
Ilya Samonov
Nick Suzuki
Were sent down and brought into the main roster without posting a transaction on ProFSL.
There are technically 5 active goalies on roster.
Samsonov was not called up.
Jeremy Swayman was not only placed on roster, he was not even signed to a contract.
This is beyond a PM for help, but requires a replacement. PLEASE READ THE RULES!
Oh, Will Butcher was called up on June 13 but nowhere present on roster, removed.
AND roster has not been set since October 24th.

Let me reiterate, this has nothing to do with Slack, this is on the new owner Hockeygoon, which seems appropriate.

done but Butcher is on an expired contract so he needs to be resigned.
That explains Will Butcher, but what about the rest.
Oh, another day, another non-set roster.

The following moves have been made:
1. Killorn, Palet, Victor Rask and Halak were removed from the roster retroactive to the 1st day of the season. All their points have been removed since they were used illegally
2. Suzuki, Swayman, Samsonov and Hague were moved to the minors retractive to the 1st day of the season. All their points have been removed since they were used illegally
3. Due to these, two of his wins were flipped to losses. The only changes made were removing illegal players from starting lineups.
4. Swayman was signed to a 2 year 2 way contract today, and is being kept in the minors
5. Hague, Suzuki, and Samsonov have been called up starting today, and line ups have been set for the next 14 days.
6. A PM to a new owner has been sent, awaiting a response. Until then, Blues are under league ownership

Cris, there is a reason that you are a good owner, bc you can discern a value deal vs. a BS deal. Not all owners are that savvy. They will eventually leave...

@Alpha I do make trades. I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool

Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.

Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

@idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

Agreed. I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ. I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.

That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so. And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild. Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season. I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

Thank you. Yes, I agree. I do need to break one asset down to 3. I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers. Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that. I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
