Brewers do this deal to gain more quality depth. Although losing one of the games best young players, we add back 2 solid, young pieces already in the MLB and 2 Top 100 hitters who provide depth to our minors. The Brewers didn't have enough at a variety of positions to truly compete. Several Elite players, but no significant depth behind them. This deal starts to rectify some of that while adding some more payroll flexibility.

We do take on Norris' deal and money to even things out and get an extra prospect to make this deal happen.
