Braves trade: C Nola, Austin, $0.5m (P-2022)
Giants trade: C Casali, Curt, $0.5m (2023) C Bailey, Patrick, $0.5m (P-n/a)
With Buster Posey retiring, the FGM Giants are left with a hole in their lineup, and while Patrick Bailey is a part of the MLB Giants future plans, he probably will spend 2022 in AA. Austin Nola had some injuries in 2021, but finished the season on a high note. Curt Casali will be sharing time with Joey Bart, so getting a starting C in Nola will definitely help the FGM Giants in 2022.

Brewers trade: MI Lowe, Brandon, $0.5m (P-2022) MI Potts, Hudson, $0.5m (P-n/a)
Giants trade: SP Snell, Blake, $7m (2024) OF Matos, Luis, $0.5m (P-n/a)
I really never considered trading Luis Matos because I believe he is going to be a future star for the Giants, in FGM and MLB, and as a Giants fan, I will still get to enjoy seeing him at Oracle Park in the years to come. But for the 2022 season, Brandon Lowe was to good a player to pass up and is an upgrade at MI. Brandon Crawford is 35 and may not replicate his 2021 season, so acquiring Lowe is a way to solidify the Giants lineup for the next few seasons. Luis Matos was included to offset the injury history of Blake Snell. I really don?t know much about Hudson Potts other than he is a former 1st Rounder for the Padres and shown he has some upside to grow into.
Brewers to confirm.

Giants trade: RP McHugh, Collin, $0.5m (2022) SP Mikulski, Matt, $0.5m (P-n/a)
Brewers trade: SP Beede, Tyler, $0.5m (P-2022)
The Giants traded away Tyler Beede to get Carlos Carrasco for their run to the 2021 playoffs. That move proved to be beneficial because Carrasco provided some valuable SP points while Beede languished in the MiLB trying to find himself and never made it back to the MLB during the 2021 campaign. Now, with the MLB Giants in need of the some pitching help, Tyler Beede may be used as a back-end SP during the 2022 season. Giving up McHugh and Mikulski is a low risk move for the FGM Giants. McHugh is a RP and an opener and Mikulski's debut will happen when there is another GM running the team (and no telling when, and if, that debut ever happens). Given the run on pitching in free agency, trading for Beede could turn out to be worthwhile for the Giants.
Brewers to confirm.

Since it appears that 16 GMs are not interested in even voting one way or the other on the FYPD Referendum, someone in FGM better start thinking about who will run the 2022 FYPD.
The league should also be thinking of a contingency plan for running FGM beyond this season. I have to admit, I am quite ready to leave ProFSL right now if someone wants to take over as the FGM moderator. My team is in good shape and another GM should find it attractive enough to take over as a replacement GM. Although the free agency bidding has been brisk, based on the referendum indifference, it seems as if my departure is seen as something that doesn?t really need to be addressed with any sense of urgency. I am letting all of you know that I am not going to actively recruit my replacement, that is something Colby needs to do, but it is also something all of you should be doing if you want FGM to continue to thrive.
I am posting this to let all of you know I want FGM to continue to succeed, but my investment is progressively waning. My bags are packed and I am ready to move on.
