Backyard NHL / Re: Questions« on: March 02, 2011, 08:03:32 PM »No this is the way it works in Franchise NHL, here a minor leaguer is traded and remains in the minor league because a GM could trade, say Thornton, to another team then they could trade them back and therefore get them out of the minors free of charge. Ok, I stand corrected. Being in both leagues sometimes things can get confusing as there are differences. 445
Backyard NHL / Re: Questions« on: March 02, 2011, 06:58:55 PM »One thing I guess if I had to be picky that I would like to be looked at is. The way I understand the rules is that if you trade anybody that is currently on your minor league roster that player will automatically be placed on the other teams main roster. If that GM wants the player on his minor league roster he would have to send him down and hopes he clears waivers. 446
Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Tim Conolly extension« on: March 01, 2011, 10:58:04 PM »He must be signed to a three year extension. Is that ok? Ok, that is fine. I thought that 3 years was the maximum amount of years I could sign him for that amount. That is what the rules say. My other salary cap leagues on ProFSL work that way. But if this league is different then I will sign him for 3 years. You might want to change the wording in the contracts section of the rules so there is no confusion. 447

I am also having a great time with this league. Lots of activity and the salary cap and waivers make it a good challenge.

Backyard NHL: Invalid Transactions / Pittsburgh and Chicago trade« on: February 27, 2011, 11:06:22 PM »
Pittsburgh gets Scott Hartnell
Chicago gets Brooks Laich I made this trade because I did not have enough room under the salary cap to sign Laich without making other moves that I did not want to do. This trade saves me space under the cap and gets me a good winger in Hartnell. Chicago will confirm this trade. |
