Trading three prospects for a run-of-the-mill SP is not usually the norm in this league because FGM values hitters.  However, with MadBum taking a tumble, Paxton going to the DL with an arm injury, and Miley leaving his last game after only 12 pitches, not to mention the Padres disaster named Jered Weaver, the Giants are in dire need of some pitching. So, given that the Yankees seem destined to start a rebuild, the Giants are willing to part with three prospects for the services of Ricky Nolasco.
