So if I win a guy at $5 Million, I could give him 1 year for 5M, or 5 years a 1M?
Contract LimitsExcept for any contract inherited in 2011, all contracts must be no longer than five years. Also, for a given salary, all contacts (extension, FA) have term limits (max years contract can be per the salary) as provided below.<= $1.4m, 2 years$1.5m - $5.4m, 3 years$5.5m - $7.9m, 4 years>=$8m, 5 years (the overall limit)
Bids are in format of total contract value. Note that the number of years does not need to be listed until the bid is won. The resulting salary will be the final bid divided by number of years, rounded to the nearest $100k. The winning bid will be the highest total contract amount.
