I have done these in the past.  It would nice if people could organize summaries for the 2013 and 2014 seasons for each team.  The GM histories also need updated along with the records.

OF Gomez, Carlos, $2.5m (2016)

Wieters has been part of the core in the Buccos organization for some time now, but we need warm bodies on offense and this deal doesn't change the books much, gets us a replacement catcher, and bring in another bat in the lineup.

Pirates are buying out James McDonald's contract

SP McDonald, James, $5.5m (2017)

Cut at 75/50/25/25% for 2014/15/16/17 equals $4m for 2015, $3m for 2015, and $1.5m for 2016-17

That is $11m ($10m + 10%) in total liabilities that the Pirates will take a $9m cap hit in 2014 and $2m in 2015.

As part of this move, the Pirates also release OF Aducci, Jim, $0.5m (P-n/a)

"Get off my lawn" types wanting to run leagues that were identical to the others. If you want 100 of the same old guys never chatting and no guests on the site. We had how many years of that?
