Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Blues-Hurricanes Trade
« on: August 08, 2019, 02:37:03 PM »
I will preface this by saying each owner builds their own way.

I already approved this but in light of some thinking Halo shared I would definitely say this is a :veto: type situation given C's are easily found in FNHL and the caliber of scoring wingers the new St Louis owner dealt away is way more value and productive than Nico will ever be in several lifetimes.

Godzilla this is quite a bit different than the trade I vetoed. Go look at all the trades and involving 30 year old back up goalies and tell me where one brought a scoring forward, a number 6 pick in the draft and a top Goalie prospect in return.

Nico was the first overall pick just two years ago and has enormous upside. He was traded for a 33 year old winger who played great last year, but his age limits his value in a dynasty league. We also got 1.5 ppg player who's making 4.2m a year as the offsetting pieces of the trade. Those two trades are apples and oranges. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings vetoing your friends trade but I am looking at the trades that go on and have every right to voice my opinion on something that seems a little off.

It's a great deal for Nashville.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Disneyland - Big Apple Trade
« on: August 07, 2019, 09:24:48 PM »
TO DISNEYLAND
Alex Lyon, $3.6m (2018-2021)
Anders Nilsson, $5.2m (2018-2021)

TO BIG APPLE
Alex Galchenyuk, $5.8m (2016-2020) Already extended by ANH.
D - Urho Vaakanainen (2017: 1/18 - 0 Games)
Round 1 - 2019 ANH

This one net our trade partner a potential starting goalie in Nilsson while we retool some area we feel need some attention and give us some flexibility into the season. EG to confirm.

 :veto:

I don’t understand the logic behind this trade at all. Nilsson is a 30 year old career backup who’s never played 30 games in a season. Why is he all of a sudden going to seize the starting job from Anderson? Lyons is a 26 year old third string goalie on a team with the best goalie in the league. I’m not usually that guy but this is awful for Anaheim

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Carolina - Islanders
« on: August 07, 2019, 11:38:24 AM »
Carolina Confirms:

I have too many good players that are only RW eligible so this solves one of those issues. I also pick up a couple of assets for taking on the extra salary. Didn't really want to trade Rantanen but you have to give to get and I believe this trade improves Carolina both long term and short term.

We worked on this trade all summer and it finally came to fruition right before the deadline. Thanks Johnny for the good trade talks and good luck to your Islanders.

Carolina would like to trade a RW for a Center.

Looking for similar salary and value in return.  Let me know if you have any ideas.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Blues-Hurricanes Trade
« on: August 03, 2019, 02:07:18 PM »
Hurricanes Trade:

Nico Hischier, $2.3m (2018-2021-EL-FP-3.0 :CAR-NHL:)  18-19 Approved

Blues Trade:

Alexander Radulov, $2.8m (2017-2020)
Jakob Silfverberg, $4.2m (2018-2021)

I'm making this trade to give this group one last shot at the title this year before we have to rebuild. This is a trade that will be a win for me in 19-20 but won't look good in a few years when Nico reaches his ceiling.

Denise51 to confirm and thanks for the deal.

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Yesterday at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.

  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Yesterday at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Yesterday at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
