Mets roster issues and moves - Mets GM Please Read
« on: January 22, 2017, 07:45:26 PM »
Doing some house keeping before the FYPD I've noticed a few things that need correcting with my rosters.
Didn't know where else to post these.  Bear in mind I only took over this team last season so I don't know if the previous owner didn't post roster moves on Profsl and other things got missed and so on.  I was running way too many fantasy teams last season but have now pared it back so I can dedicate proper time to the leagues I'm in.

On Profsl I have Kolton Kendrick on my farm roster but he's not on my Fantrax minors roster.  However, Kyle Kendrick is on my Fantrax minors roster.  Wrong Kendrick added on Fantrax?

On Profsl I have Scott Blewett, Luis Mateo and Mason Williams on my MLB roster but on Fantrax they're on my minors roster.  They need moving to farm roster on Profsl.

On Profsl I have Cody Martin on my MLB roster but he's not on my Fantrax team.  He needs dropping from Profsl.

On Profsl I have Rafael Montero on my farm roster but he's not on my Fantrax team. He needs dropping from Profsl.

On Profsl I don't have A J Pollock on any roster but he's on my Fantrax roster and was all of last season.  He needs to be added to Profsl MLB roster.

On Profsl Amed Rosario is down as German Rosario.

I would then drop Trayce Thomson and Tony Zych to leave me with 30 players on my MLB roster and 20 on my MiLB roster.

After that I'd look at dropping some guys off my farm roster ready for the FYPD.

Please accept my apologies for the long and rambling post.

Your roster has been updated as you have requested, but there is one exception.

OF AJ Pollock was a (P-2016) and therefore, he needs to be extended if you want him to remain on your team.

AJ Pollock highest rank is #14 in 2015 = 14   OF   Trout, Mike   $10.0
With the 60% discount for a (P-2016), his contract would be $6.0m (2021).

Would you like to extend him at $6.0m (2021) or let him become a free agent?

Thanks for sorting that out so quickly.  My farm roster on Profsl now perfectly mirror my minors on Fantrax.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass, but before I make a decision on A J Pollock, 3 players I have on Fantrax don't appear on my Profsl roster, all were bid on by myself and added to my roster on April 11 2016.

Erasmo Ramirez contract was 3 years at $1.1m
Felipe Rivero contract was 2 years at $0.5m
David Hernandez contract was 2 years at $0.5m

Which means after dropping Trayce Thompson and Tony Zych I'd have 29 players on my Profsl MLB roster, which would tally with Fantrax.

Many thanks

These three players were added to your ProFSL roster.  Since they were signed in 2016, given the information you listed, I have adjusted their contracts by substracting the 2016 season.

P Ramirez, Erasmo, $1.1m (2018)

RP Hernandez, David, $0.5m (2017)   $0.5m

RP Rivero, Felipe, $0.5m (2017)   $0.5m

  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.

  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

  • Brent: postured

  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Yesterday at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Yesterday at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
