:NYY: makes this deal to acquire the current AL MVP. Betts is obviously one of the most dynamic players in baseball and when given the chance you have to take a shot to acquire him. Giving up a player like Aaron Judge is never easy. Judge is one of the few players in the league that is capable of equaling Betts. I do take on a significant amount of money and lose a lot of team control, but probably worth it in the end.

Toronto agrees to trade and with this trade will be back under the the salary cap which was the goal and getting a player like Judge who could very well do great in New York and the opportunity to keep him for a few more years is a great asset if I can afford him .
